THE ORIGINS OF WORLD BOOK WEEK
World Book Day was first created back in 1995 by UNESO as ‘World Book & Copyright Day’. This fantastic charity is now getting ready to celebrate their 23rd year, with a mission to give every child a chance to have a book of their own!
On the 5th March 2020, children of all ages will come together to celebrate book, authors, illustrators and most importantly, reading!
World Book Day encourages children and young people to explore the joys of books and reading with the chance to have a book of their own!
Schools are provided with National Book Tokens for children to take to their local bookseller and choose one of ten brilliant books!

This year's £1 books include Bing’s Splashy Story, Superpotato, Kid Normal, Dog Man and lots more!
